Bansuri player and composer, Roy Sunak has announced that he will be releasing his new album entitled Tear In The River in December 2022. Featuring songs that you can spiritually connect with, the album features multiple original tracks that all have fascinating stories behind them.
Bansuri player and a composer, Roy Sunak has announced that he will be releasing his new album entitled Tear In The River during December 2022. Featuring songs that you can spiritually connect with, the album features multiple original tracks that all have fascinating stories behind them.
Born in Israel, Roy explored the art of jazz trumpet in his youth where he traveled to New York and Spain to collaborate with a variety of artists all within the genres of jazz, salsa and funk. Being no stranger to the stage, Roy gained experience performing at numerous music festivals around the world including countries Spain, Israel, Germany, Czech Republic and Costa Rica.
After deciding to follow his gut to take a spiritual journey to India, Roy discovered the sound of a bansuri which is an Indian bamboo flute. Pursuing his fascination, Roy studied the bansuri where he learned the traditional music of northern India and soon became awarded internationally for his music. Personaly exploring raga music and writing his own original pieces, Roy recorded his debut album entitled ‘Unexpected Journey’ while training and living within India.
Now developing his skills within Hindustani Classical music, World music & Sound journey otherwise known as Meditative music, Roy is back with a new album entitled ‘Tear In The River’. With what can only be described as an innovative sound, the songs are designed to tell different stories and represent a journey full of different colours and moods.
Releasing his new album, Tear In The River will be available on all major streaming platforms in December 2022.
