Music and visual art will converge in a spectacular fashion next year, as New York’s Deja Dead prepares to reveal the full scope of his latest project. Max Miller, the artist behind the moniker, has announced “An Evening in the Dead Zone,” scheduled for March 23, 2026, at the Glasgow Film Theatre, and promising a memorable, immersive experience for attendees.
This event serves as the launch pad for DISCONNECTED, the much-discussed album Miller crafted alongside the late, great Glasgow producer RICO. Famed for his game-changing collaborations with legends such as Tricky and Gary Numan, RICO’s passing in 2022 imbues the project with emotional resonance and historical weight. Miller’s 15-year odyssey from New York to Scotland in search of mentorship now comes full circle, as DISCONNECTED gets its first public airing.
The centerpiece of the evening will be an exclusive screening of a short film, visually amplifying the album’s eclectic sounds and brooding themes. Directed by Ben Sottak (whose own feature debut, The Hallowarrior, stars Milly Shapiro and Shannyn Sossamon), this film promises to drench attendees in a visually arresting, existential narrative.
Beyond the evening, Miller is positioning DISCONNECTED as more than just an album: developments such as the soon-to-come CLOUD GAME for iOS are set to turn the project into a rich, interactive world, one sure to entice fans of Beck, Massive Attack, and other genre-jumping pioneers.
